A Creative Journey: FOI Studios' 2019-2021 Projects Featuring Over 40 Models
From 2019 to 2021, FOI Studios embarked on an exhilarating creative journey that saw the studio evolve into a leading name in fashion and fine art photography. With over 40 models gracing our projects during this period, our portfolio not only expanded but also reflected the diverse beauty and artistic possibilities within India’s fashion and photography industry. Each project was a collaboration between the models, makeup artists, designers, and my own creative vision, resulting in a body of work that remains one of the highlights of FOI Studios.
The Early Days: 2019
The year 2019 marked the beginning of a highly productive era for FOI Studios. This year laid the foundation for larger projects, with an emphasis on boudoir photography and high-fashion shoots. My goal was to create an artistic blend of elegance and boldness, and to capture each model’s unique essence. Some of the standout projects from this period involved collaborations with well-known models, as well as fresh faces, creating a fusion of experienced professionalism and raw talent.
The models in 2019 brought various themes to life, ranging from the classic boudoir to the more experimental, with an emphasis on artistic expression. Each shoot was an attempt to explore the beauty of form, emotion, and storytelling through images.
FOI Magazine Launch and Expansion: 2020
2020 was a groundbreaking year, not just for my photography but for the entire FOI Studios team. The launch of FOI Magazine was a significant milestone that gave our creative work a platform to be shared with a wider audience. The magazine was designed to showcase exclusive collections, interviews, and insights into the creative process behind our shoots. Through the magazine, I wanted to create a space where our followers could dive deeper into the art of photography and learn more about the incredible models and artists involved in each project.
As the magazine grew, so did our roster of models. By the end of 2020, I had worked with over 25 models, many of whom were featured prominently in the magazine. The diversity of the models’ looks, styles, and personalities helped us push creative boundaries, resulting in a series of projects that celebrated both traditional and contemporary beauty.
The Artistic Exploration Continues: 2021
In 2021, FOI Studios reached new creative heights, with more than 40 models contributing to a wide array of projects. This period was marked by an increased focus on fantasy-themed shoots and editorial-style photography, which allowed us to play with bolder ideas and more experimental settings. Models like Chandrika Desai, Lavanya Manickam, and many others brought these concepts to life, making each project a stunning visual story.
The Fantasy Forest project, one of the most celebrated shoots during this time, showcased the blend of fashion and fantasy that has become one of FOI Studios' signature styles. Through these projects, we continued to solidify our reputation for high-quality, concept-driven photography.
A Collective Effort
None of this success would have been possible without the collaboration of an incredible team. Joyeeta Banik Mukherjee, Walter Peter, and many others contributed their talents as makeup artists, stylists, and art directors to each shoot. Their expertise allowed us to transform concepts into reality, elevating every project into something truly special.
